Sunday we went on a boat trip. We boated out to another island and stopped by what is called the wall and did some snorkeling. Then we moved to the beach and ate lunch. We saw some dolphins in the distance. Then we went snorkeling again. We saw lots of great sea creatures. We saw many starfish, colorful fish, and lots of coral. Who would have thought of getting a sunburn in October. It was great to see God's creation.
We have a praise. We had a house set up here. However, Sadie's teacher another missionary here was interested in finding a house with a little bit of a yard and no stairs. As of right now they live in like a townhouse that has only two bedrooms and stairs. So they looked at the house that we were going to maybe move into and they were very interested in it. We saw their house and needless to say they house is a little more western than the house we were going to live in. We had hoped that maybe we could just switch. We met with our landlord this morning and he said it was no problem. The Miller's (the other family) talked to their landlord and he said it would be fine. So the switch is going to happen. This is a praise because we have been praying that it would be possible. Praise God. We will be moving in around the end of October but will be house sitting for them for about a week next week.

Filipino Wedding
On Saturday, we went to a Filipino wedding. Let me first explain a little about the Philippines. Almost everyone in the Philippines has a helper. Bebing was the bride. She is Rich and Marla's former helper. Another thing about Philippine culture is everyone is late. The most important person is always last to show up. The wedding started almost an hour after it was supposed to, but that is normal. The ceremony is similar to a traditional American wedding except for one big thing. Everyone walks down the aisle and there are sponsors. Sponsors are couples that the bride and groom sort of look up to. Rich and Marla were sponsors and Sadie was a flowergirl and Tristan was the Bible carrier. They also discuss all the symbolism of everything. It was very interesting, but I felt very sorry for Bebing. I now know how hot wedding dresses can be and the church was not air conditioned and the reception was outside. It was a very nice ceremony and reception. Everyone was very friendly.
