praise, prayer, and thanks!

First Praise the Lord! For all He has done in our and around our lives already!

We thank Him for safety, while traveling, and let's just say traveling sometimes in the Philippines is not the safest! I mean there were times where I knew if I told first my wife and second my family of nurses what I was doing...they would think I was nuts, crazy, or just plain stupid! But...The Lord is faith and sees us through it!! I am talking more about riding a motorcyle up a mountain for about 45 minutes with me and two other filipino's with out an helmet, and just thinking I am going to die if I flipped off this thing! Praise the Lord all is well!!

Praise the Lord for the whole house situation working out more and more everyday!
Praise the Lord for His presence, and knowing we are here for His purpose though sometimes it's hard to know this..Though more and more He is confirming and showing us His ministry!
Praise the Lord that we got our visa extended with out any problems or questions asked
Praise the Lord for this free country where we are able to attend Church
Praise the Lord for the message that we heard on Sunday which was very encouraging to us both
Praise the Lord that both Tara and I are slowly but more and more adjusting to everything around us, and to the people, and the culture!
Praise the Lord That we are both get more and more invovled with the ministry here!

We ask for prayer in the following:

Tara has a women's retreating this coming weekend starting Thursday and until Saturday...pray that she can meet more women, be encouraged, and just grow in this time.
That we will both continue to adjust, prepare, and get ready for the people that the Lord want us to meet, and minister too. Adjust to the people, there way of living, there lifestyle, and there culture!
Pray that we can build relationships to help encourage people in there walk and connecting them to Jesus!
Pray that we can get moved in and settled coming the first of week of Nov. Pray for a smooth transition, for both families.
Pray that Eric can meet with some of the guys on the local sports ambassador basketball team, and start building relationship with them.
There is a sport ministry retreat coming up in Nov for the guys. Rich is planning and doing a lot with, please be in prayer for this event!

We thank you for all of your support, your prayers, and all that you have done. We want you to know that we have been faithful stewards of your support. We thank you so much for all that you have done, and pray that the Lord will continue to be faithful and providing for all our needs! We can not say enough thanks to all our great supports! Thanks again so much!

Since we have been house sitting

Since we have been house sitting we were away from the computer. We had no internet connection. But much has happend since then!

I really don't know where to start!

We are still looking around for a church to attent regularly. We have only gone to one so far because of different events, but I think this Sunday we will be going to a new one.

The church we went to the past two sundays is where Rich and Marla go to. It's good, but there is no AC so sometimes is hard to focus and get everything that the preacher is saying. Though it was still good.

Also, I have already in less then two weeks in the Philippines went to a wedding, and last Tuesday one of the guys that I have been going out and doing the outreaches with his name is Tata. His lola which is grandmother passed away, so Rich and I attended the funeral. It was another good culture experience! Much more to say about that later!

Well, then This coming week Tara is headed off to a women's retreat, and has helped plan and prepare it some with Marla. So we are staying pretty busy! Though I must keep mentioning that busy in Asia culture and Philippines culture is not so task focused. It's more relationship, getting the job done, and sometimes the job takes time to do and get to and really a foreign thought for Americans! So slowly, but Lord Willing we will be doing more and more!

If you have any questions or just want to wrote us you can always email or even mail us letters! We would love to hear from you!

Sorry this was sort of random thoughts, but then again that's what a blog is all about!

We have been away for while!

Sorry we have not been updating for while. Last week we were house sitting the house that we will be moving into. If that makes sense, and sounds crazy. To keep you up to date. We had a house that we were moving into, but this family was interested in this house, and so we are doing a house swap with them. They have a little one year old daughter, and the wife is expecting in Feb or March! So they are living in a town house with stairs and no yard. Well, they were wanting a single house with a little yard for there kid and soon to be kids. Plus, they have been doing some outreaches with some poor families and the town house is more western so to speak...so we felt that it was pretty good! So That's the deal with that! I know may have been asking and praying. Just to keep you up to date on that!
